We can't miss the hi voltage campaign Cipla has unleashed for ipill. What's interesting is how safe the advertiser has kept his communication. Husbands and wives, birth control and family planning. You know - we Indians have sex only when married and more so use contraception because producing another child into this world would mean additional burden to the nation.
But getting back to the ipill, you can see why the advertiser is treading so cautiously. He wouldn't want to be accused of corrupting our Indian youth and so on and so forth.
As the revelries of Navratri draw closer, condom once again has become the worst word. While the NGOs working for AIDS control are steering clear from condom promotion programmes that they usually launch during the festival, the Bajrang Dal has said it will not tolerate any condom promotion or HIV/AIDS awareness programmes around Garba venues this time.

Instead of a botched abortion, many a young woman will opt for an ipill.
But the two messages "prevention of pregnancy" and "prevention of HIV/ sexually transmitted diseases" have become independent of each other. The iPill can help with the first bit but do nothing for the second.
It would be terrible if young people decide to adopt the convenient route: Condom nahi hai? Koi baat nahin - you can always use the iPill. So let's go ahead anyways..The danger of using ipill is forseenj. Thereshould be some statutory warning on the pill cover to aviod it from misuse.
That's not what the advertiser has intended, but I bet a lot of folks will interpret it that way. If we accept that the ipill will be used by unmarried guys and girls, we can address this issue.But hello, yeh hai India. We will have to continue the charade and keep promoting 'family planning'.
Why not bring back the red triangle as well? Dunno - it just makes me nostalgic :)

this is just normal effect of the ipill after taking..So you need not to worry about it...
You need not to worry as i-pill might cause the next period to come early or later than normal. But if the periods are delayed by more than a week, it is recommended to go in for a pregnancy test.

I had my periods on 18th April and took an i pill on 26th. We did not have sex but as a precautionary measure took the pill. However, I started bleeding on the 2nd and it is still continuing (today is the 3rd). I have pain in my back and lower abdomen. Though, I`m aware that this is absolutely safe during this period [I`m biology student till my 12th , and my Ex GF is a Doctor :) ] just to take extra precautions she took iPill , well within that 72hrs (may be within 12hrs). Infact, I enquired with my friends who are doctor about side effects and got answer 'Nothing to worry' as this is our first time taking iPill.
However, Its already a month and 5days but there is no sign of periods. It never delayed to her , infact sometimes it happens pretty early. We are about to do pregnancy test today, hope we FAIL in the test :) and she get period soon.

I was 20 when i first took iPill.. i was always careful not to use it too much.. i think i myt have taken around 10 over the last 19 months but I feel perfectly fine.. my periods come on ryt days in general when i haven't taken the pill.. maybe a couple of days late and the bleeding is normal.. All one needs to be careful about is not to over do it
